The death occurred at the Whisperwood Villa, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, of Gladys Beer, of Charlottetown, and formerly of Fitzroy Street, Summerside, aged 90 years. Born in Saint John, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Harriet (Creighton) Armstrong. Survived by her children: John (Karen), Whitby, Ont.; Dr. Greg (Joan), Stratford; and Philip, Vancouver, B.C.; grandchildren: Philip (Michelle), Sarah, Timothy, Andrea (Fred) Horrelt, Cheryl (Brad) Murnaghan and Mark; and great-grandchildren: Emma and Alexa Beer; Ella and Carson Murnaghan. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. John Kenneth Beer, and a brother, Reginald Armstrong. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to the Summerside Presbyterian Church, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will later take place in the Lower Montague Cemetery.
