Passed peacefully away on March 1, 2008 in his 93rd year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Mary (Bishop), one daughter Lela Cook, sons: Eric (Betty), Charles and Roger of St. John's, William (Marjorie) of Mount Pearl, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, one brother Cyril of St. John's, two sisters: Mary and Lillian of Ontario, also a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday March 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from The Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers donations in Gordon's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
