Macumber, Nancy Lee, 63, of Falmouth, Hants Co., passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born on July 12, 1948, in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Donald Hunter ; mother, Jean (nee: Patterson) Hunter and step-father, Chesley Hancock. She worked for over 20 years, with Maritime Nurseries, Falmouth. She loved her gardens, especially her flowers, and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley. She is survived by her companion, Dana Mitchell; her children, Gina Macumber (Nelson Burns); Gary Jr. (Carla MacDonald); Jimmy (Heather) Macumber, all of Three Mile Plains; grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Ian, Josh and Evan; siblings, Pat Hunter, Joan Rehberg (Ron Leopold) and Donnie Hunter (Debby Drysdale) all of Falmouth; and also several nieces, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by husband, Gary (2003); sister, June Hunter; paternal grandparents, Guy and Flora Hunter; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Edith Patterson. There was no visitation by request. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, Windsor. The Rev. Jeffrey White officiated, followed by interment in the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Road, Falmouth. A reception was held in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, 184 King Street.
