MONTANO, RAUL BORREGO - It is with sadness we announce the passing of Raul Borrego Montano which occurred peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born 1950 in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of the late Maria Antonia Montano. Raul was employed with Cooke Aquaculture for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing and cooking for family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Lauza Saulnier of 13 years; daughters Yamirka Borrego Hernandes (Tony) and Yaniurka Borrego of Cuba; step-daughters Gina Zacarias-Perez (Elio) and Annie Saulnier (Mark) of Saint John; grand-children Luis, Helena, Randy, Ethan, Anthony, and Celina; uncle and many cousins. Besides his parents, Raul was predeceased by his son Raul Montano Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd at 2 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Haymarket Square.
