Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre on Friday, January 1st, 2010, Shirley Janet Ellis (nee Pelley), aged 76 years. Predeceased by husband Harold Ellis; parents: Minnie (Andrews) and Alfred Pelley; sister Vera Sullivan and brother Gerald Pelley. Leaving to celebrate her life are her children: Suzanne, Nancy (John) and Gregory; grandchildren: Colleen (Christian) Verville, Renee (Kent) Rideout and Trevor (Lisa) Rideout; great-grandchildren: Gabriel and Nate Verville and Ravyn Noseworthy; sister, Kay (Jack) Hall; brothers: Boyd and Derek (Sue) Pelley; special sister-in-law Jeanette Pelley; sisters-in-law: Audrey Janes and Abbie (Wilson) Whiffen; special friends: Mavis Hindy, Mildred Penney and Linda Penney. Heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Team. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday January 4th from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday January 5th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
