WILSON, GERALD RUSSELL (MICHAEL) - Michael Wilson of Nackawic, NB passed away on June 30, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a brief and sudden illness. He was born on May 12, 1952 at Saint John, NB. Michael was predeceased by his father, Russell Wilson, his two sisters, Noreen and Karen Elaine and his aunt, Mildred Cogswell. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Wilson of Nackawic, NB; brothers, Randy (Anne) Wilson of Nackawic, NB and Darrell (Sharon) Wilson of Fredericton, NB; sisters, Loreene (Gregg Corey) Wilson of Woodstock, NB and Pat (Gary) Thorne of Southampton, NB. Michael also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Ryan, Ben, Amanda, Sarah, Ashley, Christopher, Thomas and Josh. Michael is also survived by very special family members, Jeannette and Doug Jonah, Karen (Stewart) Brown, Kyla (Anthony) Hourihan, and Kieth (Julie) Jonah, Kenneth and Judy Cogswell, Robbie (Lisa) Cogswell and Scotty (Shannon) Cogswell. Michael was employed by many trucking companies over the past number of years and was always in his “happy place” when he was on the road driving the 18 wheelers from one destination to another.
A special thank you goes to the nurses and doctors of the Intensive Care Unit at the DECH; their support and care for Michael and his family was and will always be greatly appreciated. You truly are the “unsung heroes" for the sick and the weary. Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 2:30 to 5 pm. A private memorial service will be held with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Donations in memory of Michael can be made to the Louise Breau Memorial Medical Trust Fund or to a local SPCA.
