Lois Cochrane

Cochrane, Lois Marie, 65 of Campbell’s Road, Westville passed away July 1, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in PEI she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Laura(Acorn)Johnston.
Lois was a resident of Mount William up until 1999 having spent the past 9 years in Westville.
For many years she was a member of the Salvation Army in Westville where she was involved in many activities within the Army, as well she was a Cub and Scout leader in Westville.
She held various jobs throughout her working life, most recently she owned and operated “More then a Bakery” in Stellarton up until her retirement.
She is survived by her long time best friend, Our Fred, Westville; sons, Richard, Mount William; Michael(Helen), Pictou Landing; Tim,(Pamela)Thorburn; a daughter Tracey, Abbotsford, BC; grandchildren, Laura, Samantha, William, Darkat and Brett, sisters Kathleen(Jeff MacDonald), New Glasgow; Ruth(Ross Campbell), Scotsburn; nephews, Blaine and Clayton MacDonald, her former spouse Richard Cochrane Sr., as well as her many relatives in PEI.
She was predeceased by her brother Phillip.
Cremation to take place.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday from the Salvation Army, Westville with Captain Neil Abbott presiding.
Donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund or to the Salvation Army, Westville.
