
Veronica Scott
It is with great sadness that the family of Veronica Wilena Scott 84 years young, of Amherst and Springhill announce her passing on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at All Saints Hospital, Springhill, NS.
Born in August 13, 1927 in Oxford, NS to the late J. William Bell and Hazel (Jeffers) Bell.
Educated in Springhill, she and her husband Burt began their family, living in Dorchester, NB until 1968. They moved to Saint John, NB for a short period and then to Brighton, Ontario. It was here that Vron began her interest in painting that provided great joy to herself and her family.
Vron and Burt returned to Amherst in 1985 to begin their retirement.
She is survived by daughter Jane (Greg) Loo and their children, Michelle (Jon) Matsumoto, Julianne Loo, Gavin (Taryn) Loo and Lauren Tanioka (Jimmy Fonseca) all of Honolulu; daughter Arlene (Fred) Lodge and their children, Ashley and Lynsey all of Winnipeg, Manitoba; son Vaughn (Cindy) Scott of Calgary, Alberta; great - grandchildren Noah, Parker, Jake and Adisyn.
Vron is also survived by sister Zelda Spicer and sister-in-law Leona Bell, nieces and nephews and special care givers.
She is predeceased in 2009 by her husband of almost 60 years, Burt H. Scott and her brother George Bell.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. from Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS. (902-667-9906).
Rev. Marion Lloy will officiate.
Interment will take place in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, NB.
Memorial donations in Veronica’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
