Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Friday, February 29, 2008. George Edward Crummey aged 92 years. Predeceased by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 68 years Sadie; niece: Sarah Reynolds; the son he never had: Carl (Sandy) their children Ryan and Erin; great nieces: Diane (Rex) their daughter Kara; and Dawn (Bob); great-nephew: Frank and his daughter Chelsea; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Our family will always cherish the wonderful memories with George and Sadie growing up together on Cook Street. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Ave. on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Chapel on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George's memory to the Wesley United Church.
