Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on June 28, 2012, Mr. Clayton Simms of St. Anthony, NL, in his 82nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, wife Bertha; son Larry and daughter-in-law Dale; grandchildren Rhonda (Brian), and Roxanne (Jason); great-grandchildren Kaidence, Lukas, Nickolas, and Lillie; brother Garland and brother-in-law Abraham Pittman (Dorothy), and many nieces and nephews. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by many family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Dannie (who passed at six months old), his parents Hayward and Susan, brother Roland (Gertie), and sister Mary March (Vernon). Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service which took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 2 with Rev. Stephanie McClellan officiating. Interment followed at Fishing Point United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd., St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
