Dale Waycott

WAYCOTT, DALE ADAMS - Unexpectedly at his residence on July 4, 2012, Mr. Dale Adams Waycott, husband of Mrs. Vera C. (Richardson) Waycott of Lord’s Cove, NB. Born at Lubec, ME on June 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Richard and Mary (Adams) Waycott. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, in addition to his loving wife, Vera, he is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Loretta) Waycott of Kerrs Lake, NB, two daughters; Patricia (Sheldon) Conley and Kelly (Bryan) Barteau both of Lord’s Cove, NB, five grandchildren; Jesse Barteau, Tyler (Brittany) Conley, Ian Conley, Brooke Waycott and Courtney Waycott, one great granddaughter, Abigail Waycott and several cousins. Prior to his retirement, Dale was an engineer on the Deer Island Ferry’s for a number of years. Before working with the D.O.T., he was employed as a lobster truck driver. In his spare time he loved anything and everything to do with the garage and could be found fixing mowers and engines for family and friends. He enjoyed having family BBQ’s, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and he never missed Radio Bingo on Monday night. Dale was an avid outdoorsmen who loved to garden and mow the lawn and will be missed by his family and many friends.
As keeping with Dale’s wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery, Calder’s Head, NB on Sunday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Conrad Cline officiating. In Dale’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
