Leslie Jr. (Les) Madigan

MADDIGAN, Leslie Jr. (Les) — passed peacefully away in the arms of his daughters, at Hoyles-Escasoni Complex, on July 6, at the young age of 63. Welcomed by his heavenly angels, are parents Leslie and Winnifred Maddigan, and special nephew, Donald Keats. Les will be deeply missed and always remembered by his two loving daughters Marilyn Maddigan (Michael) and Lesley Anne McRae (Craig) and grandson “Pop’s Boy” Connor McRae. Lovingly supported by Bernice. Six sisters and two brothers celebrate Les’s life; Helen Hooper (Wayne), Jean Ford, Matilda Maddigan, Margaret Crocker (Wilfred), Marie Pelley (David) and Shirley Chislett (Eldred); Bob Maddigan and Dave Maddigan (Marie). Included also are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also mourning are many close family and friends including Carol Rodgers and Stephanie Collins. We remember Les best with a twinkle in his eye and a zest for life – quick to share a joke and had the heart of gold. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, Saturday, July 7, 2012, 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m.; Sunday, July 8, 2012, 1-5 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, July 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Ascension, 149 Smallwood Drive, Mount Pearl. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Road.
