BYRAM, MAVIS GERALDINE - Mavis G. Byram of Pokiok, NB passed away July 6, 2012 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Temperance Vale, NB in 1926, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Laura (Lockard) Fox. Mavis was an adherent of Nackawic Wesleyan Church. As the last surviving daughter of Allen and Laura, she was a ‘mother’ to many. Mavis is survived by a daughter, Margie Byram, Pokiok, NB; a brother, Lee Fox (Jan), Brampton, ON; five sisters-in-law, Ruth Watson, Weymouth, MA, Ellen Magoon, Harmony, ME, Ethel Taylor, Hartland, ME, Rosalie Jones (Dave), Rossville, NB and Estelle Dunphy (Murray), Nanaimo, BC; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bert Byram in 1996; two sisters, Marie Davidson and Shirley MacFarlane; seven brothers, Aubrey, Elbridge, Arnold, Ersul, Neal, Elwood and Ellis Fox; four sisters-in-law, Dora Stadig, Rose Johnston, Lillian Byram and Isabel Fox; two brothers-in-law, Hiram Byram and Delbert Byram.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lona Johnston and Rev. Ryan Farrell officiating. Interment at Otis Cemetery.
