DAFOE Lorne Frederick Dafoe, born September 24, 1924, long timeUKamloops resident, passed away peacefully on June 29, at Port Moody B.C. During WWII, Lorne served in the Royal Canadian Navy aboard the HMCS Uganda. Upon returning to Vernon, Lorne married Edna Chambers, where they raised two daughters & resided until 1966. The family then moved to Vancouver, where Lorne was employed at the Motor Vehicle Office on Georgia Street. From there, Lorne transferred to Kamloops where he worked as the Manager of the Motor Vehicle Office until his retirement in 1988. Lorne was predeceased by his Mother, Edith of Vernon & brother David, also of Vernon. Lorne is survived by his loving wife Edna, daughters Maureen Jackson (Mike), Sharon Wilson (Paul), brother Trevor of Lethbridge, Alberta & his beloved dog, Maggie. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Donations in Lorne's name to the SPCA would be appreciated
