Patricia J. Webb 1952 - 2008 On the evening of June 28, 2008, Patti was taken into the hands of Our Lord. Her courageous 6-month battle for life has come to a rest in everlasting peace. Her husband, Bernie, was by her side. Patti was born in Dryden, Ontario on July 23, 1952. She was the 4th child of Edith and Harry Webb. As a teenager, Patti was very creative with her sewing and crafts. With her friend, Lynda Konopski, they would sneak out to each others homes, where they would work on their quilting projects until the wee hours of the morning. After school jobs weren't easy to come by in a small community, so they would sell their quilts and that cash was oh, so fine. In 1974 Patti arrived in BC and began working at the News Advertiser, now called the Kamloops Daily News. Some of her former co-workers may remember a "pet" name she may have had for you. She could keep you laughing until you thought you might fall over, but you also knew when to keep your distance, just in case her wrath may descend upon you.
