NEW GLASGOW – George Myron “Ronnie” Johnson, 69, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow on September 29, 1942, he was a son of the late George and Willena (Chapman) Johnson.
Surviving are his daughters, Karen Johnson and Sharon Johnson, Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren: Michael Crook, Randy Johnson and Renee Johnson, Toronto; siblings, Sandra Guthro, Delburne, Alta.; Wayne (Brenda) Johnson, MacLennan’s Mountain; Darlene (John) MacAulay, Walkerville; Michelle (Alan) Barrie, Winnipeg, Mann.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother-in-law, Ken Guthro.
In keeping with Ronnie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations may be made in his memory to Aberdeen Health Foundation Palliative Care Unit Endowment.
The Johnson family wish to thank the nurses and support staff of the Aberdeen Hospital 4 South and Palliative Care Units, and Dr. Gerry Farrell for the exceptional care Ronnie received.
