Passed away peacefully at the Strait of Belle Isle Health Centre on June 10, 2012, Mr. Samuel Dredge Sr. of Black Duck Cove, NL, in his 77th year. He leaves to mourn wife Hannah; sons Max (Betty), Sammy (Dawn), and Dean (Faith); daughters Sadie (Camille), Ida, Wanda (Gord), and Trudy (Sam); grandchildren Adrienne (Jebby), Trey (Leanne), Archie (Charlie), Tanner, Sheridan, Chastity (Randy), Alicia (Jamie), Kendra, and Kanisha; great-grandchildren Gracie Hanna, Deacon, and Katie; step-grandchildren Ashton, and Anita; brothers Stephen (Susie), Howard (Thelma), John (Marguerite), Cecil (Annie), and Wilfred (Elizabeth); sisters Cecily (the late George), Gladys (the late Jacob), Laverne (Dan), Viola (Angus), and Lillian (Philip), and a large circle of other family and friends. Visitation was held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 14 with Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd., St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
