It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Anthony Francis Pastuck on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Celtic Court, Sydney.
Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Barney and Lillian (Matlock) Pastuck.
In earlier years, Anthony was employed with Devco as a coal miner. In 1969, he began employment with Comsumer’s Glass in Ontario and Australia until his retirement in 1998, when he moved back to Cape Breton.
He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Winstanley; daughters, Camilla (Leo) Fraser, Glace Bay, Carol (George) Seeley, Australia, Wendy Pastuck, Toronto, Wanda (Danny) Lacroix, Brampton; sons, John (Susan) Weyman, Prince Edward Island, Bob (Jan) Pastuck, Australia; brothers, Kenny (Agnes), Dave (Kit), Raymond (Sandra), all of New Waterford; sister, Hilda McKinnon, New Waterford; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Anthony was predeceased by daughter, Patsy Parsons; brothers, George and Russell.
In honouring Anthony’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside committal service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in St. Anne’s Cemetery with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating
