The death occurred peacefully, with family and friends at his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Friday, July 13, 2012 of Joseph Gallant, beloved husband of Annette Pettit (nee LeClair), of North Rustico, age 78.
Joseph was the loving father of Raymond (Kelley), Randy (Beverly), Rickey (Michelle) and Michael (Jim); grandfather of Julie and Tiffany; and Richard, Ryan, Brandon and Tyler; stepfather of Anne Marie Abrey (Dwayne); step grandfather of Joshua and Katherine; and great-grandfather of two. He is also survived by his brothers, Frank and Herbey (Helen); sisters, Leona Doiron, Elizabeth Major, Marjorie Gallant (Harold) and Patricia Sobey (Ron); sister-in-law, Eleanor Gallant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Juliette (Pineau) Gallant; brother, Albert; sister, Mary Fox (Brian); sister-in-law, Helen Gallant; and brothers-in-law, Peter Doiron and Ed Major.
No visitation by personal request. Family and close friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
