The death occurred at his late residence, on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, of Fred Bridges, of Robinson Avenue, Summerside, aged 69 years. Born in Hamilton, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Hugh Bridges and Jean (nee Craig) Bridges-Owen. Survived by his wife, Joyce (Burns) Bridges; children, Philip (Patti) Bridges, Margaret "Maggie" (Alan) Clarkin, Scott (Krista) Bridges; grandchildren, Blaize and Bronwyn Bridges; Jayce, Alana and Colton Clarkin; Brett, Haiden, Ilena and Koby Bridges; brother, Earl (Myrna) Bridges, Edmonton, Alta.; sister, Shirley Adams, Kensington; brother-in-law, Derek (Bonnie) Burns, Charlottetown; sister-in-law, Brenda Burns, Toronto, Ont.; mother-in-law Peggy Burns, Summerside; and by a special uncle William Bridges, Mount Pleasant. Predeceased by a sister Carrie Foy-Be; stepfather, Montgomery Owen, and by a brother-in-law, David Adams. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside.
