BETTS, STEPHEN ROY - It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Stephen at his home in Doaktown, NB on July 13, 2012 at the age of 65 years. Born in Doaktown on April 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Jean (Betts) Fraser. Stephen will be sadly missed by sisters, Carolyn (Glen) MacDonald of Frelighsburg, QC and Margaret (Paul) MacDonald of Milton, ON; brothers, John (Bette) Fraser of Sussex, NB, Doug (Starr) Fraser of Moncton, NB, Stewart (Patty) Fraser of Allison, NB; and several nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. Stephen was an avid woodsman who loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing. He was also a talented musician and songwriter; the proud creator of his CD “Songs in the Wind.”
Resting at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Doaktown (365-1913) where family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Wesleyan Methodist Church at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Interment will be in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery, Chipman.
