It is with great regret and sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Margaret Dwyer age 70 of Maccan on Saturday evening July 14, 2012 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 17, 1942 in Maccan, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Elizabeth (MacAloney) St. Peter.
She was a faithful member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst, where she was actively involved with the CWL since 1983, serving in several offices including past President.
Margaret loved to spend time at the cottage with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, and sewing.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty years, Jim; beloved children, Larry (Karen), Amherst, Jamie (Bill) Dwyer, Truro, Lori (Brent) Lirette, Maccan and Jim Jr. (Krista) Amherst; special grandchildren, Larry Jr., Chelsey, Josh, Justin, Michaela, Elizabeth, Zoe, Kieanne, Samantha, and Madeline; brothers, Archie (Valerie), Springhill, Billy, Maccan, Bud, Moncton; sister, Lillian (Joe) Bray, Maccan; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her brother, Johnny; and daughter in law, Colleen.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:30 p.m. all in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906).
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Reception will be held in the parish hall following the mass.
In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cumberland VON, Diabetic Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
