It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joyce Faye (Noiles) Hicks age 72 of Maccan and formerly of Meriden, CT,U.S, on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan with her family by her side.
Born December 27, 1939 in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late William and Jessie (Rutledge) Noiles.
Joyce enjoyed music and found great pleasure in listening, dancing and playing the piano. Her highlights in life were her family and she always looked forward to family gatherings, playing cards and spending time at the beach.
Joyce will be also remembered for the drives to Florida along with her husband Reg and several trips back to Meriden, CT, to visit her children and grandchildren.
Joyce leaves behind to mourn her loving husband, Reg; her special children, Brian (Carri) Meriden, CT, U.S., Randy (Lisa) Wallingford, CT, U.S. and Vicki (Richard) Lawson, Meriden, CT, U.S.; beloved grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Jessica, Brittney, William, Bradley, Stephanie, and Christine; brother, Wendell, Toronto, ON; favorite nephew, Allison; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Beside his parents, Joyce was predeceased by her siblings, Stanley, Randolph, Leona Prosser, Eileen Noiles, and William.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Interment will take place in the Maccan Cemetery following the reception.
Memorial donations in Joyce’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
