It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace Hancock of Forteau, NL, announce his passing on June 23, 2012 at the Long Term Care Unit in Forteau at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Dorothy; daughter Jennifer; sons Brandon, Thomas (Ena), and Wallace (Adrienne); grandchildren Tristan, Toby, T.J. Kohl, Chanelle, Patrick, and Mitchell; brothers Edward, Douglas, and Russell; and sister Shirley, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Blanche Hancock. Visitation took place at the Gospel Hall in English Point on Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service took place Tuesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. with Mr. Eric Fowler and Mr. Francis Barney officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Forteau. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in L’Anse au Loup.
