Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, Lillian M. Vaters of Victoria, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband George N., 1984; daughter Marilyn; three sisters: Annie, Florence and Fern; one brother William. Leaving to mourn six daughters: Phyllis (Tom) Mutkus, Pennsylvania, USA, Patsy (Bryan) Tomiyama, Vancouver, BC, Lillian (Peter) Hatch, Conception Bay South, Dulcie Ash, Vancouver, BC, Florence Vaters, Gaspe, QC and Pansy (Alonzo) Fry, Morden, MB; six sons: Hayward Vaters, Green’s Harbour, Clary (Shelley) Vaters, Victoria, Elliott Vaters, Fort McMurray, AB, Timmy (Cindy) Vaters, Freshwater, Carbonear, Tony (Wanda) Vaters, Canning, NS and George (Phyllis) Vaters, Kentville, NS; a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
