DEREK WILLIAM CLARK May 27, 1937 - September 13, 2008 It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Derek Clark on September 13, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Derek went peacefully with his family at his side. Derek is survived by his loving wife of 22-years, Eileen; children Rob (Roxie), and Greg (Shelley) and was predeceased by Wayne. He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family, as well as grandchildren Cori (Terry) and Mike (Dawn) as well as his brothers Laurie (Mora) and Doug (Lorna), one sister Pat, and cousins, especially Dale and Susan. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Pete. Derek joined the Navy right out of school and then worked for the past 28-years with CNR as a Switchman and Engineer. He loved to RV with his Juniper Sams friends, hunting, fishing and more recently golfing being his favourite pastimes. Special thanks to Dr. Paul Farrell & Stephanie, Dr. Takahashi, Dr. Chevalier, also the staff at Kelowna Cancer Clinic and Royal Inland Hospital, and all the other special people in our lives who helped us through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Derek’s name to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice House, 72 Whiteshield Crescent, Kamloops, BC, V2E 2S9, or the Canadian Diabetes Association, Box 1412, Kamloops, BC, V2C 6L7.
