RAYMOND HENRY THOMAS January 26, 1922 - September 14, 2008 Ray was born in Bangor, Saskatchewan and saw active service with the Royal Canadian Navy in World War II. He met Mary in 1951, they were married in 1952 and made their home in Kamloops in 1953. He was a long-term BC Hydro employee who retired in 1984. Ray enjoyed 24 wonderful years of retirement - spending time with family, relaxing at the lake, taking care of his property, golfing , fishing, and travelling. Ray died peacefully with his family by his side at the Kamloops Hospice. He is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 56 years, and his three children - Carol Monk (Garry) of Vernon, Sandi Harris (Allan) of Kamloops, and John Thomas (Debbie) of Kamloops - and Roy Hubel (Alice). He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Brandon Harris, Amanda and Nicole Thomas. He was predeceased by his daughter Donna Hubel and sisters Dorothy and Gertrude. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bantock and the wonderful staff at the Kamloops Hospice. They would also like to express their gratitude to their extremely supportive friends with special thanks to Jim and Joyce Boydell. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 11:00 AM at Schoening Funeral Chapel (513 Seymour St)
