As time passes, we all lose a loved one that is dear to us. We have lost our mother, Marie Louise (Green) Nichols. She was taken from us on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.
Marie was the daughter of the late Fitzroy and Antoleza Green.
Mom was a member of the senior ACW and the choir at St. Alban's Anglican Church.
Mom was predeceased by our father, Sidney; our brother, Cedric and sister, Baby Ruth. She was also predeceased by her sister, Winnifred; brother, Fitzroy and great-grandson, Julian.
She is survived by her sister, Iscolene and brother, Benjamin. To continue her legacy are daughters, Brenda (Kevin), Gayle (Vincent) and Janice (Allan); son, Ervin (Peggy); and daughter-in-law, Carol. Marie was the loving grandmother of Mark, Janet, Terri, Craig and Meggan. Great-granny to Jessica, Sidney, MacKenzie, Tara, Linnea, Jacob and Samantha Rose. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
We would like to express our thanks to the doctors and staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, City Homecare Workers and to those who were like extended family to mom.
To celebrate mom's life, we invite you to a visitation at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, July 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27 at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Whitney Pier, officiated by Archdeacon Brenda Drake. Interment at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or a charity of your choice.
