RICHARD TAMAKI Richard Tamaki, born in Kelowna in 1935, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2008. Richard is survived by his wife Donna; children Lynn (Russ), Karen (Charlie), Lisa and Doug; and grandchildren Derek and Brent. Richard is also survived by his brothers Shig and Shiro of Kelowna, his brother-in-law Sho Hikichi and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was the President of the Kamloops Baseball Club in the early 60’s. He started B and T Sales in October of 1969 with Mr. Blake and Donna. Richard appreciated the loyalty and dedication of Doug, Kelvin and Aaron and many others throughout the years. Richard enjoyed golfing and since his retirement eleven years ago, spent many days on the fairways and travelling. He migrated South in the Fall to golf and returned to Kamloops every Spring to golf. Richard was a dedicated Rotarian with many years of perfect attendance. Richard had a good life and died with no regrets. Special thanks to Dr. Terry Simpson and Sue Bater for their care above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks to all at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home -- caregivers, nurses and volunteers. Thanks to all friends and relations for their thoughtful cards and visits. Thanks to all the Rotarians for honouring Richard with the Paul Harris Fellow and the Rotary Foundation District Service Award. No Service or flowers by request.
