Joe passed away in Bossier City, Louisiana, while visiting with his sister Catherine (Jim) Vanderberry and Josephine (Glen) Butler. He is also survived by his brother Edward (Kay) Kays of Corner Brook. Predeceased by his parents Albert Kays and Mariam Kays (Zakem), brother Victor and sister-in-law Gertrude. Born in Charlottetown, PEI and moved to Stephenville for business opportunities. He was Past District Governor of the Lion's Club, Past Master of Canam Masonic Lodge #19 and a Mazol Shriner in Stephenville. Joe will be greatly missed by family and friends. Memorial service to be held January 23rd at 1:00 at St. Augustine’s Church, Hillview Ave., Stephenville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lions Organization or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Montreal Unit.
