In later years his interests turned to taking pictures of wildlife throughout the Cariboo, winning several awards from the Kamloops Wildlife Federation. Nary a rock could he pass without turning it over to check the colours. A calling always brought him back to Lillooet where he enjoyed gold panning, hiking the hills and visiting with family and friends.
