EUGENE TURNEY 1933 - 2008 Eugene passed away at Kamloops Memorial Hospice Home on November 21st, 2008 after a valiant and lengthy struggle with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy). Eugene was born in Cornwall, Ontario, played ice hockey on the fields there as a kid. In 1956 he moved to BC and studied to become a teacher, a fine one at that. He taught (and coached basketball) for many years in Chilliwack. His last position (from 1978 - 1995) furthered Computer Aided Drafting at the University College of the Cariboo. Eugene is survived by his wife, Shirley, his four daughters, Deborah, Carol, Alison and Nancy, his brother Raymond, and sister Sheila and nine grandchildren. He will be missed by all. A Celebration of Eugene’s Life will take place in the Spring-time for the family. We wish to thank caregivers from Ponderosa and Ridgeview Lodges, as well as those from the Hospice. Expressions of sympathy could be donated to the Parkinson’s Society of BC or to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home in Kamloops
