ROBERT JAMES MINEAULT December 29, 1949 - November 24, 2008 The families of Bob Mineault sadly announce his passing in the early morning hours of November 24, 2008. He leaves behind his wife, Edie Mineault, his daughter Jennifer Mineault (Sam Lauder) of Surrey, BC, his step-sons Darryl Boehm (Shannon Clark) of Langley, their children Sean and Avery, and Scott Boehm (Robyn Gathercole) of Kamloops, their children Tannor, Maddox and Grace. He is also survived by his mother, Evelyn Mineault of Ottawa, Ontario, his brother Douglas Mineault and family of Ottawa, Ontario, and his brother William Mineault and family of Victoria, BC. He was predeceased by his father Roger Mineault in 2001. Bob was born in Ottawa and grew up in Lively, Ontario. Upon graduation from high school he entered the RCMP, initially being assigned to Pembroke, Ontario and then Ottawa. Bob was so impressed with a trip to BC that he requested and received a transfer to Vancouver. Bob worked in the Special Investigations Section and he subsequently transferred to Whitehorse, back to Vancouver, and then on to Kelowna, BC from where he retired in 1990. In 1992 Bob moved to Vancouver Island which he dearly loved, working in advertising and security alarm sales. In 1998 Bob took a position with Service Canada as an investigation officer transferring to Kamloops in 2000 where he met and married Edie. He retired from Service Canada in 2002. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor with a unique ability to make himself the object of his wit. He will be well remembered for his jokes and the laughter he brought to us all. He loved to golf and many good memories were created and shared on the courses with the many friends he made so easily. Be at peace now my Sweetheart A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Pastor Don Maione officiating.
