JACQUELINE MARGARET PAULINE THORPE October 13, 1947 - December 9, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacqueline Thorpe on December 9th, 2008 at the age of 61 years. She is survived by her loving husband Edward William Hurd, children John (Jabe) Thorpe, Craig Thorpe, all of Kamloops, BC, Stacey Hurd of Prince George, BC, Kimberly Hurd of Kelowna, BC, Kaytee Hurd of Edmonton, and grandchildren, Chase and Erin Hurd and Ruby Thorpe, also the Grad Class of 1965 Notre Dame, and the Gold Wing Road Riders Motorcycle Club. She was predeceased by her father Jack Burnett Thompson, mother Pauline Thompson and husband John William Fredrick Thorpe. Jacqueline Margaret Pauline Thorpe passed away peacefully at Kamloops Hospice House after a 2 year battle with cancer. She is free to fly like a butterfly towards her next journey. We, the family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who helped Jackie along in her final journey. Special thanks to Dr. S. Gorman and Linda. Also a very special thanks to the amazing staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House for their outstanding care and compassion through her last days. There will be a viewing at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 13th, 2008 in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 14th, 2008 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel.
