Fraser, Earl Ransford – 87, Bayhead, Colchester County, passed away January 6, 2010 at home. Born in Steam Mill Village, Kings County, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Etta (Bennett) Fraser. Earl was veteran of WW II, serving overseas in the army. For most of his working life, he was a farm worker and enjoyed his pastimes of hunting, fishing, playing cribbage or assembling jigsaw puzzles. Surviving is his wife of 56 years, the former Francis Comeau; sons, Leonard (Bev), Masstown; Ransford, West Earltown; daughter, Norma Stewart (Colin), Nuttby; step-son, Brian Comeau, Kingston; grandchildren, Darren Stewart (Rhian), Jamie Stewart, Christopher Fraser, Corey Fraser and Matthew Fraser; twin great-granddaughters, Keelyn and Taegan; brother, Everett (Bessie), Lawrencetown; sister, Evelyn Shaw (Stewart), Middleton; daughters-in-law, Donna Fraser, Brule Point and Sharon Fraser, Tatamagouche; sister-in-law, Vera Spicer, Berwick. He was predeceased by son, Bernard; brothers, Maynard, Vernon, Ralph, Wesley and George in infancy; sisters, Marjorie Barkhouse, Eileen Morgan and Dorothy Morgan; brother-in-law, Nelson Spicer. A funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010, Rev. Sandra Carruthers officiating, in Coulter’ Funeral Home (657-3288) 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche, N.S. B0K 1V0. Interment will be in the springtime in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche. Family flowers only. Memorial donations can be made to Nova Scotia Heart and Stoke Foundation.
