WILLIAM BLAKE (BILL) VAN NORMAN William Blake (Bill) Van Norman passed away suddenly during a visit at his mother's home in Salmon Arm, B.C. on Saturday evening, January 10, 2009 at the age of 60 years. A celebration of life service will be held from the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm, on Saturday,UJanuary 17th, at 3:30 p.m. with Jack Bowers the celebrant. Tributes will be shared by members of the family. A reception will follow in the Mountainside Room, allowing the family and friends to continue sharing memories of Bill. Born in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan on March 8, 1948, Bill was raised in Port Coquitlam. He later moved to Kamloops for a career with Canadian Pacific Railway, having worked as Conductor and then, Yard Master. Health forced him to take a medical leave. Bill moved to Salmon Arm and then six years ago, relocated to Quesnel. He enjoyed traveling, loved animals and the joy of his life being his family. Predeceased by his father, William Robert Van Norman on March 25, 1991, Bill leaves his three children, Blake, Christopher and Kelsi of Quesnel; two grandchildren, Gaven and Kayleb; mother, Audrey Van Norman; and two sisters, Maryann (John) Little of Sidney and Joan (Norm) Cunningham of Canoe.
