Passed peacefully away at Herne Bay, England, on January 5, 2010, aged 89 years, Kenneth Meaney, formerly of Riverhead, St. Mary’s Bay (War Services, Newfoundland, Forestry Division, Scotland, 1940-1946). Predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn; infant son, David; his parents: Edward and Margaret; his brothers: Edward, Thomas and Michael; his sister, Mary Murray; brothers-in-law: Kevin Power and Alban Lee; sister-in-law, Margaret Meaney. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Maureen; his son, Kenneth (Eija Liisa), Finland; daughter, Winifred Clapshaw (Peter), England; brothers: Gordon (Margaret), Jerome (Rosemarie), Eugene (Betty); sisters: Anne Lee, Gertrude Power and Madeline Meaney; brother-in-law, Michael Murray; grandsons: Matthew Bolt (Mu), Robert Bolt, Aleksis and Alexander Meaney; great-grandson, Isaac Bolt; step-sons: Simon and Wayne; also many nieces and nephews and cousins in Newfoundland. Burial will take place in England. Memorial Mass at St. Patrick’s Church 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010.
