ROBERTA SHULTZ (nee Rueckl) April 20, 1956 - February 26, 2009 </B>It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Roberta Shultz, loving spouse, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister and friend. She passed peacefully after a three year battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends. She leaves to mourn her loss spouse Richard Hunt; children Kim and Cody (Jess); grandchildren Lane, Garrett, Montana, Autumn and Cierra; father Milo Rueckl; brother Frank Rueckl (Dawn); nieces Tiffany & Stevie Rueckl; nephews Luke & C.J. Rueckl. She is predeceased by her mother Inge Rueckl. Roberta was born in Kamloops and spent her early years in the Trapp Lake area just south of Kamloops at a logging camp. The family moved into Knutsford where she learned her life long love of horses and the western lifestyle. Roberta had two beautiful children and lived in a variety of places in B.C. before settling in Knutsford for good. One of her favourite places was Douglas Lake Ranch where she spent several years as the ranch house cook with her spare time spent in the Quarter Horse Barn. She was involved with the 4-H Clubs of Kamloops, most particularly with the Double L Lamb Club and the Kamloops South Beef Club. She was a familiar face for many years at the Buyers Breakfast at Provincial Winter Fair. She was also involved with the Kamloops Pro Rodeo. She loved chasing cows and was seen many days on the ranges of Frolek Cattle Company and Sugarloaf Ranch. She had a large heart and was very supportive to all her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Calvary Temple Auditorium at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roberta's name to the Provincial Winter Fair for a bursary to be awarded in her name
