Frances Chisholm
CHISHOLM, FRANCES EILEEN - It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Eileen Chisholm announces her passing on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Frances was born in Saint John, NB on April 26, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Mabel (Allan) Kirkpatrick. Frances graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1953 and went on to work in the insurance field for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s and St. Bartholomew’s Church where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the Choir and was an auxiliary leader. Growing up she enjoyed many kinds of dance especially tap, clog and square dancing and continued to dance in her later years and loved skating. She also loved to go with her father to the race track to look after horses. Frances loved being around people and was involved in organizing the Saint John singles club. She was all about her family and in her later years would cherish watching her two grandchildren dance and listen to them sing. Frances last two years were spent living under the caring staff of the Loch Lomond Villa. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Beattie. She is survived by her daughters, Leanne Roman and Alanna Britt (Peter) and her two beautiful devoted grandchildren, Georgie and Alanna Roman.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Mary’s and St. Bartholomew’s Church, 648 Westmorland Road on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Greg McMullin officiating. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
