ELSIE KATHLEEN (KAY) BALDWIN 1924 - February 27, 2009 Kay passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Grandma's cheerful presence will be missed by her family, friends, neighbours, and patrons of Silver Rill Corn Farm Market. She is survived by her children: Susan Fritz, David Dinsdale, Debbie Elliott, Wendy Fox (Ken), and Kevin Baldwin (Sharon), grandchildren: Elan (Travis), Carla, Tim; Blair, Travis; Daniel; Clayton, Corrine; Blake and Marisa and great grandchild Caleb. Born in Luton, England, Kay served in the Royal Air Force during WWII. She immigrated to Vancouver as a war bride and eventually settled in Victoria in 1968. Kay's greatest joys were travelling, gardening, doing crafts, chatting with the customers of Silver Rill, and spending time with her family. Her love of travelling took her many places, including trips to Europe, Australia, and Central and South America. She made numerous friends during her annual trip to Maui with her close friend Gwen. We offer our thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Palliative Care Unit, and to Dr. Richard Kennedy.
