DEAL(Zinck), Florence Mildred - formerly of Leminster, passed away peacefully at Dykeland Lodge, Curry’s Corner, July 27, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s. Born in Walden, Lunenburg Co. to her beloved parents, Lemuel and Susan Zinck on December 23, 1923. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Elmer; sisters, Grace, Maggie, Annie, Lydia, Hilda, Rena; brothers, Samuel, Harold, Enos; great-grandson, Riley in infancy. She is survived by daughters, Edith (Elroy) States, Christine Deal, Susan (Steven) Deal-Porter; grandchildren, Kim, Harold (Adelia), Wade (Janet), Jody, Tori, Peter, Brettanie (Alex), Mackenzie; great-grandchildren, Cody, Brady, Jillian, Kelsey, Taylor; sister, Rosella Meister, New Ross; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Florence loved her family and she loved to embroider. In her early years, she loved to go fishing, tend her gardens, quilting and making lots of pickles, jams and jellies. She was a devoted member of St. Mark’s Church ,Walden for which she had a great love. She also worked hard at improving the Walden Community Cemetery. Funeral service was held 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 31 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Barbara Minard officiated. Burial was in Walden Community Cemetery, Walden. Memorial donations may be made to the Walden Community Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Dykeland Lodge for all the care that was given to Mom.
