McDONALD, LAURIE E. - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Laurie Edward McDonald, who passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2nd, 2012. Born January of 1960 in Fredericton, he was the son of Shirley (Jordan) Maguire of Innisville, ON and the late Raymond McDonald. Laurie graduated from Bethany Bible College and later from the New Brunswick Community College in 2005 and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital for over 20 years. He was dedicated to his family and committed to his work. He loved life and was devoted to his son Jon. Besides his mother, Laurie is survived by his only son Jon of Fredericton NB; brothers Randy (Cathy) of Toronto ON, Dale of Vancouver BC, and Rick (Kate) of McGreor, MB; special friends Joyce & Randy Jowlett of Saint John; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitations on Monday, August 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
