RENNIE.Catherine "Lola" Rennie (nee Everson), born November 4, 1934 in Swift Current, SK. Lola passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2009, age 74. During a 23-year marriage to Jim Rennie, Lola raised a large and lively family of four boys and one girl. Her greatest desire in life was to be a good mother and to see her children happy. In 1976, Lola moved to Kamloops where she worked for many years as Personnel Manager for Woolco, making many life-long friends. In retirement, Lola moved several times, to Vancouver, Calgary and finally Nanaimo, always to be close to family. She loved cooking big family dinners, crocheting, playing crib and talking politics. Lola is survived by many loved ones: her children; Terry, Dan (Sue), Ian (Donna), Stuart, and Lynne (Brian); grandchildren; Alex, Chris, Ellis, Hudson, Finn, Shea, Jack, Kate, Ella and Will; siblings; Bud (Bill) Everson, Eunice Sawatsky, and Lorraine Larter; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Lola was predeceased by her mother (Ethel Grace Weaver), father (Roy Edward Everson), sister Irene and twin brother Kermit. A Memorial Service for Lola will be held in Kamloops, Saturday March 28, 2009, 11:00 A.M., Schoening's Funeral Service, 513 Seymour Street. Reception to follow at Coast Canadian Inn, 339 St. Paul Street. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association
