JAMES H. WALSH. February 24, 1921 - March 22, 2009 .James H. Walsh of Kamloops passed away on March 22, 2009 at 88 years of age. Jim is survived by his loving wife Shirley, daughter Linda (Paul) Walsh of Burnaby, B.C., son Tom (Marlene) Walsh of Kamloops, daughter Barbara Ramsey of Kamloops, and granddaughters Catherine, Rachel and Kaylie. He was predeceased by his mother Grace, father Thomas, and brother Roger. Jim was born on February 24, 1921 in Terrace, B.C. to Grace and Thomas Walsh. He had a long career in telecommunications, starting off as a telegraph operator and ending as a repeater attendant. He had a life-long love of Ham Radios and he spent many hours communicating with friends and acquaintances all over the world, all on his radio. Jim was a gentle, caring man who loved his family above all else. He was a simple man who enjoyed nothing better than a great meal and he is now enjoying his heavenly banquet. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1550 Tranquille Road, with Pastor Al Robbins officiating. Memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation or the Gideon Bible Society.
