Passed in: British Columbia, Canada

LILLIAN LUCIA POELZER (Moldenhauer) Entered eternal life March 24th, 2009 from her home in Kamloops, after a short struggle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by her family. Lillian was born March 20th, 1934 in Allan, Sask. to Mary and Roy Moldenhauer. She worked hard growing up on a farm, helping to raise her 13 brothers and sisters. Lillian married Jerome Poelzer of Bay Trail, Sask. on July 12th, 1954. Moved to Kamloops and raised seven children, Karen (Garry) Heringer, Brian, Denis (Cathy MacLeod), Kevin, Dolores, Glen (Michelle) and Ione (Dave Harestad). Lillian enjoyed having family around her home, especially her 11 grandchildren: Drew, Trevor, Sarah, Amanda, Lewis, Eric, Simon, Anna, Jane, Lauren, and Ian. We could always count on the cookie jar being full of Jam-Jams and chocolate chip cookies. Mom took pride in caring for others, from helping raise her siblings to caring for her children and grandchildren. She did a wonderful job. "Mom was a kind & gentle person, she opened her heart and her home to everyone over the years and she will be sorely missed." Prayers will be offered on Friday, March 27th, at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Service on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to one of Lillian's favourite local charities: St Vincent DePaul, House of Ruth or Medicos en Accion.
