Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 5, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, Mary Metcalfe of Clarenville, aged 74 years. Predeceased by her parents Augustus and Mary Summers; sisters: Margaret Foley and Josephine Chubbs; brothers: Harry, Ches, Fred and Gus Summers. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband John of 49 years; son Paul; daughter Pauline (Sandy) and the pride and joy of her life granddaughter Claudine; sisters: Carol Ann Hann (Woodrow), Marie Mills (John) and Olga Sheilds; brothers: John (Irene) and Edward (Sharon); and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Visitation on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass time and date to be announced. Mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church with cremation and burial to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Clarenville.
