IDA STEINKE. 1925-2009 Ida Steinke went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 83 years of age. She was born in Puhawa, Poland on July 6, 1925. Ida is survived by her children Don (Gayle) Steinke of Bellingham, WA, and Audrey Shisler of Ft. Erie, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Ephraim in 2003, son Bill in 2000, and son-in-law Larry Shisler in 2008. Also left to cherish her memory is Bill's wife JoAnn; six grandchildren Brad (Caroline) Steinke, Krista (Scott) Hale, Deja Shisler, Tara Steinke, Dustin Shisler, and Matthew Steinke; great grandchildren Koby Hale, Will Hale, Nicholas Steinke, Ella Hale and Dexter Shisler; sisters Freda (Ken) Fulford of Swan Lake, Manitoba, and Betty (Allen) Kiffiak of Edmonton, Alberta, brother Leonard (Sylvia) Kokot of Kelowna, BC, and many nieces and nephews. Thank you to Ida's loved ones and true friends, without their help we could not have managed over the last several years of mom's life. Special thanks to Maryann Park. A Celebration of Ida's Life will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, March 30, 2009 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Reception Hall, 285 Fortune Drive.
