ZIEVERINK ANNE HENRICA .BERNARDINA Anne Henrica Bernardina Zieverink passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Jubilee Manor, Nelson, B.C. after a faithful and courageous battle with CLL (Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia) at the age of 76 years. Anne was born in Winterswyk, Holland the 4th of 5 children to Gerhardus and Frederica Overkamp. She married Bill her husband of 53 years September 5, 1955 in Meddo, Holland and then immigrated to Canada where they worked on a farm in Rossland for 4 years. They then moved to Nelson and then to Blewett where she raised her family and looked after and enjoyed her grandchildren. Anne was very active in her community with CWL, Mother Theresa Prayer Group, Catholic Church and school, Prolife and helping those in need. She also enjoyed spending time in her gardens in Blewett. Anne is survived by her husband Bill, eight children, Imelda (Case) Grypma, Rose Zieverink (Dennis), Annette (Doug) Ball, Rita (Brian) Berglund, Veronica (Alex) Buratto, Leo (Teresa), Andre (Jody), and Richard (Jennifer) and also 16 grandchildren, Thomas, Kristi, Case, Leo, Rosie, Marc, Michael, Matthew, Bryan, Kayla, Justin, Andrew, Jared, Michelle, Ben and Abby. She is also survived by one sister Marietje Elsignhorst in Holland. She is also survived by many other family members. Anne was predeceased by her parents, an infant child, two brothers and one sister. Prayers will be recited on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at the Cathedral of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Nelson, B.C. at 7:00 P.M. where a mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. followed by interment at the Nelson Memorial Park Cemetery.
