The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, December 1, 2008, of Irene Gallant of Rustico, wife of the late Leo Joseph Gallant, age 92. Irene was the cherished mother of Lorraine Gay (the late Austin), Shirley Cook (Doug) and Maureen Mills (Gordon). Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
