MELANSON, AURÈLE - Aurèle Melanson of Dieppe passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Center on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the age of 91. Born in Memramcook East on October 15, 1920, he was the son of the late John and the late Beatrice (Bourque) Melanson. He worked for C.P.R. in Toronto for over 30 years. After retiring, Aurèle and his wife the late Therese (Gagnon) moved to Dieppe, NB. He will be sadly missed by his five sisters, Ella Dupuis of Memramcook East, Agathe Davis of Dieppe, Elizabeth Melanson and Thilda (Ovila) Melanson both of Moncton and Jeannine (Archil) Robichaud of Shediac; three brothers, Gerald of Moncton, Laurie of Memramcook East and Dollard (Rita) of Dieppe and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Therese (2006), sister Dorina and by his two brothers Leonel and Fred.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, 15 rte La Vallée, Memramcook on Friday, August 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame de Lourdes church, Memramcook East on Saturday, August 11 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
